My career has been devoted to healing the whole patient in a committed, working partnership that supports health and well-being. I blend the best of both worlds, utilizing conventional and cutting-edge diagnostic testing as well as gentle, effective natural therapies, and medications when necessary to help people feel the best they can. I take the time to listen and work with my patients, creating a customized treatment plan, empowering them with education and strategies to lead healthier, more balanced lives.
After graduating from the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Columbia University in 1991, I completed a residency in family practice at The Montgomery Family Practice Residency Program in Norristown, PA. I completed medical acupuncture training at UCLA, and have been board certified since 2004.
In addition, I have been a student of meditation since my introduction to the martial arts in 1985. I have learned many traditional mind/body approaches to healing including Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction with Jon Kabat-Zinn and Saki Santorelli at the University of Massachusetts. My studies have also included yoga, Ayurvedic medicine, herbal medicine, nutrition, bioidentical hormone replacement and homeopathy.
